We don't really know but know that Ichiro periodically does that with Cheysuli as well. She hates it.

Hey! The beans don't have to know everything you are doing! I know you don't really mean any harm with new behaviors. Have a good week!

For those reading this, check out my cat blog for some interesting stories about the cat colony I manage.

Skeeter did that to LC for many years. Not very often, but sometimes. TBT assumes it it is some residual behavioral mating instinct. A beginning for which there is no follow-through instinct.

Like retreiver woofies who have the instinct to grab prey but not eat it, or pointer woofies who have the instinct ta stalk but not even grab prey.

In Skeeter's case, he knew he was sposed ta do SOMETHING with a girlcat sometimes, but then he didnt know quite WHAT that was. And LC thought sometimes she was sposed ta be doing something too but dint know what.

Basically, they both had "step #1" intact, but "step #2 baffled them both.

It was vaguely disturbing, but harmless, and they both spent 99.999% of their time together innocently and happily.

An Skeeter never tried that stuff with me...
